Why Top Shelf?

Our family has been in the Property Management business for 30 years. We have designed all our systems we use today. I have worked in the service side of the industry (taking care of the homes) and the business side (taking care of the clients). Our company has the success of a large franchise, but also the personal ownership of a family.

Before beginning my career as an accountant, I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Iowa. My responsibilities here at Top Shelf are including inputting invoices, matching invoices to checks, helping people with their rent questions/concerns, and performing a variety of general accounting tasks. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, and fishing.

Rene is originally from Toledo, Iowa. She has been in the West Des Moines, Iowa for 30 years. She currently lives in Grimes, for it has that small town feel. In her free time, she likes attending country concerts, wineries, town festivals, traveling, cooking, baking, and the Iowa State Fair.

Katherine processes lease renewals as well as Water liens and checks to make sure that electric and gas are taken care of. Helps with other duties when needed. She is the best at anything related to Utilities and leases. And she is always talking about her Granddaughter!
