Top Must Do's in Des Moines

Don't be stuck inside this Summer 2021! There are plenty things to do in the Des Moines area and I will discuss the top 5 things you simply do not want to miss. Just because we are a property management company, does not mean we only enjoy summer cleaning;)

1. Des Moines Farmer Market

Starting May 1st, every Saturday from 7am to Noon, the Downtown Farmers Market is a MUST! You will have a blast trying new, home grown foods from all over the Des Moines metro. Not only is the food to die for, but there is an abundance of clothes, plants, etc. all locally owned. The atmosphere is something you cannot beat and the smells around you are extremely enticing. 2. Adventure Land

This amusement park is filled with thrilling rides that will have you there from dusk to dawn. Not only do they have plenty of roller-coasters, but you can cool off as well in the attached water park. Adventure Land will not have you disappointed with the delicious foods on top of everything else. Don't forget to bring plenty of sunscreen!

3. River Tube Des Moines River

Having you gone tubing down a river before? This experience that is something both fun and not a whole lot of people know about! Floating down the river can last anywhere from 3-5hours and can be an abundance of fun with some great friends. The scenery is spectacular and the trip is very relaxing. What an excellent way to stay cool during hot, summer days. Spots can fill up quick for tubing, so do not forget that you have to make a reservation! 4. Papa John Sculpture Park

The park is a great place to be able to walk around and enjoy the various sculptures. It also makes an amazing spot to have a picnic, so bring a blanket and some food! Not feeling a picnic? This park is also located within walking distance of an abundance of restaurants and shopping, as it is in the heart of Downtown. You will have so much fun getting to see all of the sights and sounds Des Moines has to offer. 

5. Principle Park

Going to an Iowa Cubs baseball game can be a lot of fun for entertainment! There is nothing better than cheering on your favorite team while enjoying a flavorful hotdog. If you go to a game, you have to stick around to the end to watch the magnificent firework show they put on!
